Students should arrive at school 15 minutes before the Assembly. Soon after the Assembly bell, the school gates will be locked and the late comers will return home at the risk of the parents / guardians. The school accepts no responsibility if a student is obliged to return home during school hours for noncompliance with this rule.
a) No one who has been absent or late may be admitted to class without the Principal’s
permission. The students who have been absent from the class must have the reason for their absence noted in the Regularity records. Reasons of private nature may be intimated by letter. Birthdays, excursions, urgent business etc. are not sufficient reasons.
b) No leave of absence is granted without a previous application in writing from the guardian.
c) For marriage within the family only two days leave is granted, as a rule.
All leave must be applied for in writing to Principal/ Vice- Principal. NO STUDENT SHALL PROCEED ON LEAVE WITHOUT THE SANCTION AND PERMISSION, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE LEAVE EXCEEDS TWO DAYS. The students who have been absent from the class must have the reason for their absence noted in the regularity Record. Unauthorized absentees are fined.
If any unauthorized ABSENCE EXCEEDS TEN CALENDAR DAYS, defaulter’s NAME WILL BE STRUCK OFF ROLLS and considered withdrawn.
Mount Assisi School students should behave in a gentlemanly manner on their way to and from school. They are reminded that the school is judged by their conduct. Therefore, pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their general behaviour outside the school. Any reported or objectionable conduct on the part of the pupil makes him/ her liable for disciplinary action, not excluding expulsion.
English shall be spoken at all times in the school premises by the students and teachers.
Students should take good care of their books and personal belongings. Each articles should be marked with the pupil’s name, admission number and class.
The school is not responsible for goods lost. The students are discouraged from wearing ornaments and bringing any expensive articles to the school.
School diary school be brought to the school daily. Magazines, newspaper \s, Novels, etc. are not to be brought to the school.
All children are expected to bring “Tiffin” with them for the afternoon recess.
Students should not offer presents or gifts to their teachers or companions.
Any damage done to the school property should be made good by the pupil concerned.
Parents and guardians are not allowed to see their wards or visit teachers or enter school verandah during the school hours.
Those who bring children to school must come respectably dressed and leave the school immediately.
Homework should be done neatly and the day’s work always dated in their notebooks and in the diary as well.
Smoking, chewing gum, chewing pan, use of tobacco products etc. are strictly forbidden in the school premises.
Students should treat others respectfully and are responsible for other’s good name. Physical assaults, gang formation, vandalism making threats, calling nick-name, using abusive and unparliamentary language, spreading rumors, etc. are strictly forbidden, and are liable to strict disciplinary action, including expulsion from the school.
Students are to be address their teachers and all members of the school with respect and politeness.
On their way to and from school, students must behave in a gentlemanly manner. They are not allowed to come to the school riding motor cycle.
Every student is expected to subscribe to small charities, if requested by the principal. However, no fines, funds or collections will be made in the school without written permission or notice from the principal.
Students are not allowed to call parents by phone/ leave the school premises during school hours or recess without explicit permission of the Principal/ Vice-Principal. No child will be sent home even if some urgent need arises, unless a duly authorized person comes to fetch him/ her with a note of authority from the parents or guardians together with the Identity Card of his/ her ward.
It is compulsory for every student to take part in curricular and co-curricular activities organized by the school.
